Let the Children Come to Me!
We need a President who will value all human life and uphold human dignity.
We need a President who will welcome and not turn away children at the border. We must welcome the traveler and not turn them around on the bridge.
We need a President who will ensure that those in detention centers are protected from COVID-19 virus.
We need a President who will allow support for women, children and men who are seeking asylum.
We need a President who will ensure that pregnant women in detention are given protection and adequate medical care for themselves and their babies.
We need a President who will welcome refugees fleeing for their lives. We must share responsibility for global inequities that force global migrations.
We need a President who will allow peoples from other countries, especially Muslim countries, to travel to the US to visit family. We must value family.
We need a President who believes that richest Country in the world can share such abundance with those who are trapped on (or forced to) the margins of society.
We need a President who will assist those individuals and/or families that are fleeing their countries of origin because of domestic violence, torture, rape, murder, gang violence or brutally corrupt police and/or government officials. We need a President who will practice compassion.
We need a President who will refuse to penalize persons because they are recent documented immigrants.
We need a President who will help model hospitality.
We need a President who treats undocumented individuals with dignity and leads our Nation to do the same.
We need a President who will expect immigration agents to act “with a human face”.
We need a President who will fund compassion, mercy and love and refuse to fund hatred, racism and violence.
