Israel – Gaza conflict: Christian Moral Perspectives

Dear Friends and Readers:

For those of you in the Toledo area, I am giving my fourth and final lecture of this academic year on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. in the Conference Room (not the theater) of the Franciscan Center on the campus of Lourdes University, entitled “Israel – Gaza conflict: Christian Moral Perspectives.” Given the complex, developing situation in Gaza, the lecture will concentrate on two general approaches: pacificism represented by Pope Francis and the just war tradition applied by Catholic Moral theologians.

No reservations are necessary. General admission is $10 (cash or check only) payable at the door. Students, nuns, priests and persons with financial limitations are welcome to attend for free.
