Welcome to an abbreviated edition of Wisdom Wednesday, August 20, 2025. We have received an invitation to explore the Dorothea Project, from Joe Griffin, an AUSCP member. He invites us to an “Opportunity perhaps for collaborating, supporting and sharing news of a lay led effort seeking justice.” Barbara Molinari Quinby offers her weekly Justice Bulletin Board and we offer a link to Bob Stewart’s weekly collection of news sources
The Dorothea Project
The National Catholic Reporter headlined a story July 23, “Catholic moms plead with their bishops to speak out on migrant detention.” The new online group, the Dorothea Project, aims to bring attention to Catholic social teaching.
The Dorothea Movement describes itself “as a growing movement of Catholic women called to live our faith out loud. Formed by the wisdom of the Church and fueled by a deep desire for justice, we exist to empower communities to defend human dignity, and respond to injustice with courage and love.”
Justice Bulletin Board
Barbara Molinari Quinby prepares a Justice Bulletin Board for her parish each week. Long time AUSCP member Bob Bonnot suggested adding her reflection to Wisdom Wednesday, a practice now for many months. We hope you find common value in her reflections for the week.
‘These May Be of Interest’
It was Robert Stewart, a good friend of the AUSCP, who introduced our association to Frank and Mary Frost, who shared their documentary, Teilhard: Visionary Scientist, at our 2024 Assembly in Lexington. Another gift to us from Bob is sharing a weekly feature, a curated wealth of internet sources for contemporary Catholic news and views, available by means of a mailing list. A sample is provided here and AUSCP members and friends are invited to join the list.
