First Church: A Practical Theology of the Family as Domestic Church
Church is about mission. Our universal call is celebrated by baptism in community and first formed in family. The Second Vatican Council and popes have articulated an understanding of family, in which the family in all its forms, is the basic foundation of church and society, including all human relationships. This six-part book discussion with author and theologian Joe Torma, Ph.D. is a 30-year retrospective of Joe’s book relevant for a synodal church. Leo Jacoby will moderate this series. Ebook and reading assignments will be sent in advance to all registrants prior to gathering by Zoom. Our formal presentations will be one hour followed by as much discussion as desired.
