Conversations in the Spirit:Religious Liberty, Freedom, and Formation of Conscience

AUSCP NewsNewsU.S. News

In a multicultural world, with pluralistic religious traditions, how do we understand
the human right to religious liberty, as taught in Dignitatis Humanae from the
Vatican II Council? What are the implications for a synodal Church that teaches
religious freedom as a right but also says that all religions are not the same?

Please join AUSCP (Association of U.S. Catholic Priest), VOTF (Voice of the
Faithful) and others to consider these questions in a Zoom session modeled
on synodal Conversations in the Spirit.

What is your understanding of religious freedom?
What is your understanding of “freedom of conscience”?
Share the invitation with friends too! We are clergy and laity working together
for deeper understanding of our personal faith and pastoral needs in our
complicated world.
