AUSCP 2024 Assembly Report
The 13th Annual Assembly of the Association of U.S. Catholic Priests concluded after meeting June 24-27, 2024, in Lexington, Kentucky, on the theme, Eucharist: Sacrament of Encounter. Lexington Bishop John Stowe, OFM Conv., led a one-day retreat June 24, attended by about 160 ordained and lay members of the AUSCP.
With an assembly audience of about 220, keynote presenters included Father Michael Driscoll, liturgy professor emeritus from the University of Notre Dame; Jesuit Father Thomas Reese, author, columnist, and Dr. Kim Harris, liturgist — all of whom delved into topics related to the Eucharist and Synodality. A June 25 highlight was the presentation and discussion of the video documentary, Teilhard: Visionary Scientist, by the producers, Frank and Mary Frost.
