DESCRIPTION:Dear Friends and Readers: \nFor those of you in the Toledo area\, I am giving my second lecture of this academic year on Thursday November 2\, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. in the Franciscan Center Theater on the campus of Lourdes University. Entitled “The 2023 Synod: Historical\, Theological and Practical Perspectives\,” the lecture will concentrate on providing a context for interpreting the dynamics and results of the historic Synod meeting in Rome during the month of October. \nNo reservations are necessary. General admission is $10 (cash or check only) payable at the door. \nSome points to note: \n\nStudents\, nuns\, priests and persons with financial limitations are welcome to attend for free – just walk into the auditorium.\nNo background notes will be available.\nIf all goes well this lecture will eventually be available on my website: frjimbacik.org\n\nI hope this will provide another opportunity to stay in touch. \nFr.
